Growth in the African Fashion Industry

The African Fashion industry is fast developing and is generating a lot of demand in the local and international markets. There is a lot of potential in the culture of the people especially in the fashion arena and now the world is realizing this. Also, the fashion culture is growing all over globally and African culture is growing on all fronts, be it textiles, crafts, accessories, and other wear.

The United Nations cultural wing, UNESCO has confirmed that the African Fashion industry is at a boom stage now. This was released in the UNESCO report during the Lagos Fashion Week. The revenue from the industry can increase to thrice the size today with adequate infrastructure and investment. The growth of social media and its reach has also played a major role in this. But that is the case of major concern. The lacking of enough investment is a factor that may hamper the growth.
