Move Afrika: A Music Industry Revolution in the Making
The world-famous charity concert series Global Citizen and the Kendrick Lamar and Dave Free-founded label pgLang have launched 'Move Afrika,' a vast African music tour schedule. This project intends to engage local artists, vendors, agencies, and crews, promote the finest of African music worldwide, spark transformative investments in the community, and offer possibilities for on-the-job skill development and training. On December 6, Kendrick Lamar will launch the initiative with a performance in Kigali, Rwanda, starting an annual event that will take place in the African country for the following five years. With the goal of visiting five countries by 2025, the tour calendar will be expanded to include other countries.
