The cloud market in Africa is growing fast

Africa’s cloud market is growing with various cloud partnerships as Africa is a region where the demand for cloud services is likely to grow in the near future. The growing at a rate between 25% and 30% annually for cloud computing services in Africa. 

Schneider Electric, a known name in energy management and automation, has said that they want to have collaborations with cloud service providers in Africa. 



In the sub-Saharan African market, South Africa has the most developed cloud markets. This has led to opening of new data centers to cater to the demand of data storage increase. 

The market size is small and will increase gradually. A research from Germany has predicted that the income from publicly-held cloud services may touch $8.3 billion  in Africa, by the end of 2023.

Many well-known names like Google Cloud Platform, , Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, Oracle, IBM, SAP, and others are looking at  South Africa for expanding their cloud service.
