Three Basins Summit at Congo aims at sustainability in the Three crucial Basins of the world

The Three Basin Summit is a three day programme that started on 26th October and will conclude today. The Heads of the State, Representatives of Government, official delegation, internationals organizations, experts, and many others have reached Brazzaville, Congo for the Three Basins Climate Conference. 



The aim of the summit is to start a coalition for the restoration of 350 million hectares of land and aquatic ecosystems. It brings together the Borneo-Mekong, Congo, and the Amazon forest basins which are the three important tropical forest basins. The view is to make the governance strong in the three ecosystems. 80 percent of the tropical forests of the world and two-thirds of the land ecosystem is accounted for by these three basins. They play an important role in regulating the carbon balance and play preservation plays a very important role in to combat climate change. The summit will help to create a structure for the use of forest's resources in a way that doesn't hurt the environment and creation of a sustainable environment.
