What Happened To Oladips? He Clarifies False Death Reports

Oladipupo Oladimeji, also known as Oladips, has been in the news recently due to internet rumors circulating about his death. His close friend Qdot vigorously refuted the allegations and insisted that the rapper was still alive, in stark contrast to these stories. Confusion that followed sparked a social media frenzy in which many people criticized Oladips.

Oladips tried to rectify the matter by stating on Instagram that he had not planned any hoax pertaining to his own demise. Oladipupo Oladimeji's management first revealed his death on November 15, 2023, via an Instagram statement claiming that the Nigerian rapper had passed away on November 14, 2023. But Oladips was still alive, as Qdot later disclosed on social media.

The public began to speculate that the entire incident may have been a PR gimmick to support his just released record, "Superhero Adugbo." Oladipupo Oladimeji insisted that he had not purposefully participated in any such acts, notwithstanding these suspicions.

Oladips revealed that he went through a two-year period of ill health and internal challenges, with his management stressing that he kept his struggles to himself. Oladips acknowledged how serious his illness was and that he was in danger of dying. He responded to speculations by claiming on his Instagram story that Qdot was the source of the claims that he was staging his own death. Oladips claimed that Qdot posted a hasty social media announcement of his wellbeing when his family was unsure of his circumstances.

The rapper said that Qdot had fabricated a story about a conversation between him and his family that had not actually happened this year, and he claimed that his family was uninformed of the real state of his health. Directly addressing Qdot on Instagram, Oladips expressed his disapproval of the timing of the post announcing his return, calling it inappropriate and misleading. He emphasized that anything may have happened during that difficult time, underscoring the situation's potential seriousness. Oladips decided not to provide specifics about his sickness, even though it was made public that he was having health issues.

Before being admitted to the hospital, Oladips shared a narrative on Instagram pleading with a friend who goes by the handle Only One Lifetime to go back home. He also asked his management to accompany him to the hospital. It's still unclear what conditions led the management to declare the artist deceased.
