Microsoft South Africa collaborates with Afrika Tikkun to launch ICT Academy

 

Afrika Tikkun, a leading youth development agency, has partnered with Microsoft South Africa to launch the ICT Academy — Going Mobile initiative in Olievenhoutbosch. This program is designed to empower unemployed youth by providing them with essential information and communication technology (ICT) skills, helping them build sustainable careers in the fast-growing tech sector.

Running until June 2025, the initiative aims to tackle the challenge of youth unemployment in South Africa. Through hands-on training and practical experience, participants will acquire critical technical skills, opening doors to opportunities within ICT and related industries.

Microsoft’s involvement extends beyond technological advancement. The company is dedicated to addressing societal challenges by developing and operating data centers that foster both innovation and community impact.
