Cooperation between Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates strengthened with a view to mutual growth

The relationship between the United Arab Emirates and Nigeria has reached a new milestone with the resumption of daily Emirates Airlines flights between Lagos and Dubai, coinciding with Nigeria's 64th Independence Day celebration. This development is expected to enhance travel and business opportunities, fostering greater economic ties between the two nations.

Emirates Airlines also announced new transit options via Cairo and Addis Ababa through Egypt Air and Ethiopian Airlines, along with a partnership with Nigeria's Air Peace to explore new routes to Dubai. Adnan Kazim, Emirates' Commercial Director, emphasized that this would significantly benefit key Nigerian sectors, particularly agriculture, with Emirates SkyCargo offering over 300 tonnes of weekly cargo capacity to support the export of goods to Dubai and beyond.

Kazim highlighted that this boost will help Nigeria diversify its economy beyond oil, unlocking new markets, boosting tourism, creating jobs, and promoting prosperity for both countries. He also reminded Nigerian travelers to prepare for their trips by securing the appropriate visas and ensuring their documents are up to date.
