UAE Expresses Concern Over Lebanon Escalation, Announces $100 Million Aid

 

The United Arab Emirates has voiced deep concern over the escalating situation in Lebanon and its potential impact on regional stability. Emphasizing Lebanon’s national unity and sovereignty, the UAE reaffirmed its unwavering support for the Lebanese people during this challenging time. The UAE government is taking immediate action, with President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan directing a $100 million relief package to aid those affected in Lebanon.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) highlighted the urgency of international cooperation to halt the rising conflict and prevent further casualties. In their statement, the Ministry emphasized the need for full protection of civilians, in line with international law and treaties. The relief package aims to provide critical humanitarian assistance and alleviate the growing humanitarian crisis in Lebanon.

This initiative reflects the UAE's longstanding commitment to peace and stability in the region, with a focus on safeguarding the well-being of affected communities. The UAE continues to advocate for coordinated global efforts to de-escalate tensions and ensure a path towards long-term stability for Lebanon.
