Hugo Broos head coach of Bafana Bafana unhappy over absence of players

Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos has expressed his dissatisfaction with Percy Tau and Thapelo Maseko as they have been absent from the national team.

Tau, playing for Al Ahly in Egypt played for his club on Sunday and Maseko playing for Mamelodi Sundowns played for his club in a recent match. Both did not play for the national team citing various reasons.

The lack of communication between the team and clubs are said to be the reason.

The Bafana team is preparing for the World Cup qualifiers and the Africa Cup of Nations finals.

Broos was looking to build a strong squad for the matches against Eswatini and Ivory Coast, but injuries and player absences have impacted his strategies.

However, this provides a very good scope for new players and Broos is open to test new players.

Bafana Bafana is a very successful team in Africa, and has won the Africa Cup of Nations once and been runners-up twice.
