Netflix to end free access in Kenya

 Netflix, has planned to end its free mobile plan in Kenya after two years. 


This is to get more paid users onboard.

The present free plan will continue till November, 2023, post which Netflix will cut off the subscribers who have enjoyed free access plans. The free plans were accessible since 2021. From November, Kenyan nationals need to choose from the paid plans to access Netflix shows and movies. 

The free access plans were made available in 2021 to attract users in Kenya and it worked well as many subscribed to the platform. 

Netflix announced its plan to reduce the subscription prices for subscribers in Kenya by 37 percent. This decision is to attract new users who are looking to get a deal in subscription as well as maintaining the existing subscribers, from whom the reduced prices ensures that they can continue subscribing. 

Post November, things will be much more clear and let's wait and see.
