Nigeria Super Eagles set eyes on winning AFCON

Nigeria Super Eagles is looking to win the next edition of AFCON (Africa Cup of Nations). Nigeria who have been three time champions have adopted ‘Let’s Do It Again’ strategy to eyeing a fourth Africa Cup of Nations title.

Last, Nigeria hosted AFCON in 1980. Nigeria won the cup in 1994 edition in Tunisia and the 2013 finals in South Africa.

Nigeria has already secured its place in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, or AFCON 2023. 

The defender for the Nigeria national team, Kenneth Omeruo said that Nigeria is confident to win the AFCON and that the Nigerian team practiced really well for the upcoming AFCON. He added that “We have the capacity to make it happen. We are all ambitious.”

Last month, Nigeria finished their AFCON qualifying match with a 6-0 victory over Sao Tome & Principe, an African island nation. Nigeria also emerged victorious


in their last three games. They will be looking to keep up their winning streak.
