Under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, Dubai Humanitarian (DXB-H) successfully facilitated the delivery of critical relief supplies to N’djamena, Chad’s capital. This mission aims to support over 70,000 Sudanese refugees with essential aid to alleviate suffering and save lives.

A Boeing 747 cargo flight departed from Al Maktoum International Airport on August 31st, carrying 90 metric tons of vital medical supplies, shelter materials, and relief items from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). These supplies are crucial in addressing the escalating humanitarian crisis affecting displaced Sudanese communities.

Giuseppe Saba, CEO of Dubai Humanitarian, emphasized the importance of rapid response during emergencies, stating, “The speed of our response can mean the difference between life and death. This airlift to Chad highlights our commitment to supporting vulnerable communities worldwide.” With contributions from WHO and UNHCR, this initiative underscores Dubai’s ongoing dedication to global humanitarian aid efforts.
