UAE's Global Humanitarian Aid Surpasses $98 Billion, Transforming Lives Worldwide

Since its founding in 1971, the UAE has provided nearly AED 360 billion ($98.09 billion) in foreign aid, establishing itself as a beacon of hope and generosity. With a commitment to reducing poverty, alleviating disasters, and promoting global peace, the UAE's humanitarian impact extends beyond borders, touching lives across diverse cultures and faiths. Rooted in compassion and solidarity, the nation’s charitable efforts emphasize healthcare, education, and housing, aimed at uplifting the most vulnerable communities.

Inspired by UAE Founding Father Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the nation’s philanthropic legacy continues under President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Landmark initiatives like "For Your Sake, Somalia," the "Warm Winter" campaign, and "Bridges of Giving" for Türkiye-Syria earthquake victims highlight the UAE’s ongoing commitment to humanitarian causes. The launch of new projects, such as the MZB Water Initiative and the Dubai Cares education fund, demonstrates the UAE’s dedication to sustainable and impactful aid.

These initiatives are making a significant difference in key beneficiary countries: In Jordan, the UAE provided $300 million in aid, including funds for winter clothing and emergency shelters for refugees. In Kenya, efforts focus on empowering young refugee girls through education and resources. In Ethiopia, a partnership with UNICEF and the World Food Program has directed AED 312.2 million toward emergency food assistance in conflict-affected areas. Through these efforts, the UAE continues to build a legacy of enduring support, fostering global peace and security.
