Diamond Platnumz nominated for artist of the year in the United States

 


Tanzanian music superstar Diamond Platnumz, known for his hit single "Komasava," is gearing up to compete against Nigeria’s top artists at the African Entertainment Awards USA (AEAUSA) in November. The recently released AEAUSA nominations place Diamond in the coveted ‘Artist of the Year’ category, where he will go head-to-head with heavyweights like Burna Boy, Davido, Yemi Alade, Ayra Starr, Asake, Rema, Wizkid, Adekunle Gold, and rising South African sensation Tyla.

In addition to 'Artist of the Year,' Diamond is also nominated for 'Best Male Artist,' competing against giants like Davido, Burna Boy, Wizkid, Olamide, Rema, Kizz Daniel, Black Sherif, Fally Ipupa, and his former collaborator Harmonize. These nominations highlight Diamond’s immense impact across Africa, solidifying his status as a continental icon.

Tanzanian female artist Nandy has also secured a spot in the ‘Best Female Artist’ category, where she’ll face competition from big names like Yemi Alade, Tiwa Savage, Simi, Ayra Starr, Tems, Makhadzi, Tyla, Aya Nakamura, and Niniola. In the ‘Best Collaboration’ category, Rayvanny’s track "Sensema" featuring Harmonize is nominated, alongside other top collaborations like Chris Brown and Davido’s "Hmmm."
